another thing you might want to try is lowering the amount of maple syrup. In the book he says if you are trying to specifically loose weight lower the amount of maple syrup if you are trying to gain you can increase. He said you can vary the amount of maple syrup and pepper just not the lemon juice. But I think sticking to the 2 tablespoons is the best and just staying on the cleanse long enough to throughly cleanse. If you really need to lose weight you will if you need to gain weight you will too. :) The above posts were true for me as well. I didn't really start to lose weight until about day 7 or so.
