I really don't want to scare you, but I'll let you know my experience. First of all, when they put the IUD in me, the pain was so bad that I almost passed out. Afterward, my doctor said "I don't know why it was so hard to put in you!" At my annual visit 5 months later, she was unable to find the IUD with a physical exam and an ultrasound. She said it probably just fell out, but did an x-ray and CT scan just to be possitive. That's how they found it in another part of my abdomen. All the symptoms I complained to my doctor about (cramping, back ache, headaches) I was told were a normal side effect. They don't even know when or how it went through my uterus. Good luck with your appointment. Let us know what happens!
