.My edema also seems related to cleansing. I've had a little edema, usually around my lower shins, for over ten years I think, but I hadn't noticed any for a few months or a year or so. I started oil pulling or oil mouth rinsing 2 months ago for my tooth and gum infections, which greatly helped that right away, and I didn't have any symptoms until a week ago, when the edema started showing up in my fingers, feet and shins, especially after sitting at the computer for a few hours. It's now mostly in my lower legs above the feet.
.I've just read of some things that may help, like magnesium, potassium, dandelion extract, exercise and sweating. I plan to start taking a little Epsom Salt for magnesium. I think I get enough potassium from bananas. I can easily find fresh dandelion leaves outside. I may try some cayenne for better circulation. Drinking hot tea in a hot room, or jogging in heavy clothing is supposed to help sweating, so I'm thinking of trying some of those things.
