You're 'good to go' (pun intended :) with the IF#2 for as long as your body tells you it's okay ...there's absolutely NOTHING in it that isn't wonderfully good for you (most of which you could take for a lifetime).

If you're starting to see 'nasty stuff' on only 3 doses a day, you WILL see more/better/nastier when you up it 5. The guidelines USED to be six doses daily, and I have no idea why they were changed to five - six is better in this gal's opinion (me n' my hubby always take six doses daily).

I'm just "getting into" Activated Charcoal, but this stuff IS amazing. I'll be putting together a big batch of my own IF#2 (hopefully in the next couple of months). I'm going to use Peppermint instead of the Fennel (I have NO IDEA why it was changed from Peppermint to Fennel - I do not like the taste of Fennel and I like the attributes of Peppermint -and the taste). And I'm going to double or triple the amount of Activated Charcoal.

And there you have it (lol), a LOT of information...and hopefully an answer to your question is in there, too :)
