Iodine is contraindicated if you have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

This is an autoimmune disease which produces antibodies that attack thyroid tissue.

Taking Iodine drops or tablets can aggravate the condition & make hyper or hypo thyroid symptoms worse.

Before supplementing with iodine, have 2 tests done to see if you have Hashimoto's:

antimicrosomal (anti-M)
and
antithyroglobulin (anti-G)
