Interesting article. Thanks for posting that. I used to have FBD pretty bad. I had a baby 2 1/2 years ago and nursed him for two years and my FBD is gone. I don't understand how this happened but it's been nice not having to deal with the pain and discomfort of it anymore. I have read that nursing can reduce chances of Breast Cancer so maybe it is all somehow related to supressing the FBD.
I did find out during my pregnancy that I have a fairly large fibroid in my uterus which is the main reason I have started the Iodine therapy. I don't have any symptoms with the fibroid, no pain or anything but I recently suffered a miscarriage and that may have had something to do with it. Anyhow, I'm hoping the Iodine helps with this and from everything I've read it should. I just started about three weeks ago so I'll be interested to see if my cycles change. I'm glad you shared your experience so I don't freak out if my period goes away for some time. Thanks so much. ( btw, I'm taking just 12 mg now but hope to gradually increase to 25 and then see how I feel).
