retainers

i have to wear retainers. would it affect the parasite cleanse? like bacteria and sh*t getting on the stupid retainers? i clean it with tooth paste before i wear it each time. answers, opinions please.

i have to wear retainers because i recently got my braces off, but every time i wore them i would feel angry, very angry. now it's been 3 months since i've neglected to wear them, although i do wear it for a day or two every now and then. my teeth have shifted and i need to start wearing them or i'd have to get braces all over again. costly, and not too fond of introducing the toxic crap they use in it in me AGAIN and then wear retainers AGAIN.
