Just wanted to share that I have not had any problems with seizures or blood clots on the Mirena(I've had a lot of the other side effects) but when I was on Ortho Evra I started having severe leg pain and I always felt like it was because of blood clots. The doctor of course dismissed my concerns but I would wake up in unbearable pain and I would feel so weird. It seemed to always happen when I layed down for long periods of time so I suspected it was blood clots. This Mirena absolutely has the same hormone in it that can aid in blood clots happening. When this hormone pools in our body it does harm to our systems. I am so sorry to hear that this Mirena has given you such horrible side effects. I have awful things to say about this Mirena product and it makes me very angry that there are so many of us suffering because the company and doctors do not paint the whole picture about this product. It is ridiculous that the reporting line minimized your side effects. We get enough of that from the doctors. It sounds to me like you should hire an attorney and try to file a class action lawsuit against Mirena. There are sure enough of us that would stand in line along with you. I can do some research into the attorney route. I have a retained attorney for another matter and it happens to be a lawsuit so I can ask him how to proceed in a suit against a drug company if you want me to. Good luck to you friend!
