I am in my 7th day of a juice fast. Most of my juices are combinations of fruit and vegetable, like carrot and Watermelon (YUM!), or carrot-beet-apple-carrot, but this weekend I have been making what I call gazpacho juice, tomatoes, red peppers, cuke, garlic, onion, parsley, and olive oil. The weekend has been more difficult since I am at home, not that busy, and cooking for my family, but I've kept with it and have lost about 8 pounds altogether. During the work week, I juice once in the morning, then at work I buy a fresh combo juice from a cart outside the building (lucky, right?) and make another juice when I get home. I had no hunger at all during the week and felt great. This weekend, tho', I am fighting hunger and also feel tired. I want to fast for 19 days so I can break the fast over the weekend after next. Seems like a big goal, to go another 2 weeks. I hope I make it though, because the hardest part (for me) is starting a fast. So not that I'm on a roll I want to lose all 20 pounds that have been plaguing me.
