Wow, Katherine!

What an experience!

I know that equipment like microscopes can vary so much, and you may, at first, only learn that you have the wrong sort.

How about going to someone who already has the set-up, and really wants to see your critters?

I'd look for a parasitologist, first...or a really good vet. If you can find a senior person, all the better...they are most likely very experienced.

Another person who may be able to help is one who studies insects, for, say, forensic uses. (I forget the name of their profession.) They likely have dandy microscopes, and would be interested. Guessing, they may even be familiar with one or more of your critters.

Doctors care, but they see so many different ailments. You can be sure that your visits will not be forgotten! You may even have set some to thinking and wondering, which is always helpful.

Oops! Visitors at the door. Gotta run.

I'll be watching for your success.

R.G. at the Ask Humaworm forum has seen many things over the years. Perhaps email him at

He's a peach.

My best,
