Remember it was US(See Norman Schwarzkopf's father) who overthrew the DEMOCRATICALLY elected Government in Iran in 1953 and installed the Shah of Iran that led to much of the trouble we have with Iran today..it was US who gave weapons to Osama Bin Laden in 1980 to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan, that has led to the Taliban troubles of today(and ultimately 9/11)..and it was US who supplied WMD's to Saddam Hussein in the mid-1980's, to fight the Iran that our actions backfired and created that has directly led to the Iraq Mess of today...how many times does History have to repeat itself before the light bulb is bright enough to see...what about when the US massacred Native Americans in the 1880's or when we fought our Civil War in 1865?? If a foreign power would have tried to intervene would we not consider their actions an act of War?? Would US citizens not have fought such intervention with all our might??? Don't blame Iraqis' for hating or trying to kill US soldiers for their actions(no matter how good their intentions). It is exactly how we would react if someone invaded US.
