I read posts occasionally, and have to admit this is one of the most encouraging signs to healing this condition. I realize it is not a cure, but to control peeling is a big step in the right direction. If we can avoid peeling the skin on our lips, we can give them a chance to heal.

I am thinking outloud:

-What about combining this cream with something that can be taken internally to help the lips like Vitamin B Complex, Evening Primrose Oil, Zinc, or Fish Oil?

-You have mentioned that citric acid is the key ingredient to treating your lips. As a less expensive alternative, what about making your own cream using lemon/lime juice (freshly squeezed)? Perhaps even mixing it with an anti-inflammatory like evening primrose oil, and applying this on your lips instead?

-Also, since citric acid has worked so well externally, can it help taking it internally in the form of lemon/lime juice and warm water?

Please share your thoughts. Peace.
