That thin white layer you mention 96334, is no good either. If every time you get the thin white layer it wipes off how will your lips ever heal? Because every time the white layer comes off, your left with the raw skin underneath right?

You have to wait a while, allowing the skins epidermal layer to fully heal. And that has to involve leaving the skin on for a little longer. Yes this may look unsightly, or even form large crustation but at the end of the day you need your lips to heal. What you therefore need to do, is keep a small pair of scissors to trim excess keratin overgrowth on the lips and continually apply a moisturizer.

Leaving crusts for to long is no good either. It could potentially habour bacterial infections.
