Hi, I am in the same boat. I think chelating heavy metals will help with my liver and candida. I am in the 95% for aluminum and 65% for mercury. I still have some Amalgams in and am having the first one removed next Monday.

Supposedly on the chelation forum I read magnesium malate chelates mercury. My knowledgable alternative doc says no. She said she has tried DMSA and EDTA for chelation and says the way to go is a product called Metal Free at http://www.bodyhealth.com.
I am not positive she is correct on this, but she has been pretty good so far. The ingredients are proprietary blend of microactivated algae, lactobacillus and bifidus extracts, peptidylgluconase, glycine, ionic sea minerals, hydrated colloidal silica, glutathione, vitamin c, hyaluronic acid, fulvic, ferulic and lipoic acid, chlorella, and acetylcystine. Newport has tried this product, but I do not know what his results were with it. It is very expensive.

I just started using it and can only take 2 tiny drops at the back of my tongue(so as not to touch any of the metals in my mouth). I am pretty toxic, because at 4 drops I had chelation symptoms and the info says to do it at a level where you are symptome free(you don't want these metals recirculating in your body). I would like to know others opinions on this. Do you think this could work?
