Amino Acid Question by #91565 ..... The Truth in Medicine

Someone suggested that prior to having a couple of glasses of wine that I take a supplement of amino acids, a particular one including L-Glutamine, L-Cysteine, N-Acetyl-Cystein, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Taurine and L-Asparagine. They indicated that it would better help the liver process the alcohol. I only tried it once and realized it made me ravenously thirsty. So much so, I didn't even want my wine! I drank a ton of water. Now I'm wondering if it helps the body by processing the alcohol or just makes you not want to drink it. I do love my red wine so...

Any thoughts on this?
