Certain clothes cause BO for me. by HennaHead ..... Body Odor Forum

I just want to pass this information on to share in case someone else has this problem. About 6 years ago I started having horrible odor under arms, but only on certain days. The smell lingered for maybe more then 2 days at a time. Washing did not remove the odor either. It even stayed on the clothes.
Eventually, I figured out that I smelled bad every time I wore a new soccer shirt that I had just purchased for European games. This led me to realizing that certain materials can cause my body chemistry to react. Nylon, polyester, rayon, spandex are all culprits. Even nylon or spandex underwear does this to me now.
Eventually, I started noticing that my 9 year old was smelling like onions or garlic while she was wearing the same type of material. She is now 11.
I had never had Body Odor before and went up until that time without wearing deodarant. Eventually, nothing I used helped. I fasted and that did help some but the same material caused me to stink. Baking Soda is the best thing for me. I wash with it and then apply it after showering. I have to leave it on for about 5 minutes and then wash it off and re-apply and leave on all day. This seems to help my kid.
I wonder if changes have been made to material and that this might be what is causing me to stink. I also notice that certain underwear makes me sweat like crazy around my legs.
I am interested to know if anyone else notices that certain clothing makes it worse for them?
