**edit** I hadn't realized that one jar of AP only had 10 servings. You're sharp! haha! I bought 2 jars so if I only have 2 servings/day, I'll just have enough for 10 days. Definitely more expensive than I initially thought. So it WOULD benefit you to make your own, still not sure of the savings, but you'll probably want to buy in bulk (pricey up front, but'll save you in the long haul). Your amino acids - BCAAs, whatever you get - you'll want at least 60g of protein per day**

Funny, I started getting fouled up also from eating too many almond products (I was using almond flour in baking, almond butter and coconut oil as a spread for my muffins, eating 1/2-3/4 c. mixed nuts whenever the urge hit), and wondering why.

I do believe once you purge for parasites and start eating lots of greens (to keep your bowels moving), the mucus and feces they're hiding in will clear out, and you'll be able to digest things better again.

Look seriously into food combining. If you DO eat almonds/avacadoes, eat them with a very alkaline food, like roasted non-starchy veggies. Cauliflower roasts nicely tossed with some turmeric and tabasco sauce! ehhh, but I'm making myself hungry.

If the Absorb Plus is too pricey (I'm only doing it for 2 weeks, I figured that would cut back on our grocery bill since I wouldn't be eating all that $$ produce anyhow), look into making your own.

You'll need:
Amino Acids (the essential ones are isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine).
carbohydrate (I would not recommend using sugars or sweeteners for your carb. I'd check out a simple potato starch for the carrier. you can find a bag of potato starch in the Bobs Red Mill area at Giant. OR try tapioca starch, also a Bobs item, or corn starch. I believe all three of those are alkaline and won't give you Sugar crashes).
Fat Now this is tricky. You don't want to over-do, because fats will make you acidic and they're hard to digest. Undigested food in your tummy feeds the bad boys. But you NEED fat, so there's a conundrum. Personally I would choose 1 T. of cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil or cold-pressed unrefined flax oil. You could do the coconut oil if you keep it to a serving -1 T.- per shake.
Vitamins and Minerals You'll want to get a powder or a pill that includes all the daily needs: calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus and chlorine, and iron, cobalt, chromium, copper, iodine, manganese, selenium, zinc, and molybdenum, along with your vitamins A, C, B-complex, E, etc.

This sounds overwhelming, but honestly, if you get a big tub of amino acids, a bag of starch, a litre of quality oil, and a jar of a women's daily multivitamin/mineral complex, you should be good to go.

I'm no doctor or naturopath, but looking at the ingredients in Absorb Plus, making your own would be simple and probably cost effective. Honestly I'm too tired tonight to do the math for ya, but you may end up spending $120-$130 for something that could last you a month or more - instead of just a few weeks. With the "savings" you could also get the Perfect Food powder by Garden of Life, all easily assimilated greens, algae, sprouted alkalizing grains and "safe" veggies in a powder! So easy, just dump a Tablespoon into your elemental shake.

Blend with water, ice, and a few drops of pure vanilla extract and Stevia drops. You're good to go.

I was lazy, lol, and ordered the unsweetened vanilla kind. I'm going to add flax meal to my shakes for fiber to keep flushing the wormies out. Bleahhhhh! So foul, but it's for the best.

Sorry so long a post. Don't want to overwhelm you, but want to be as helpful as possible.

There's always Nestle's Vivonex but I think they use more crap ingredients. Not sure of their price.

As long as you get easily digested foods into you, with minimal heavy concentrated proteins, and lots of green food, you'll have the best shot at cleaning house. HTH!
