Getting them wet seems to be a hotly contested issue. I think it's OKAY for the most part, but leaving them dry gives you a better chance to heal faster. The thing is, when you get them wet, the dead skin is more likely to fall off. Sometimes, that's okay because the skins ready to fall off, but you might be doing more harm than good. It's hard to say. Anyway, my peeling cycle started at ten days and has gradually gotten shorter (about a day or two max now). As you continue on, you should notice the cycles getting shorter because the accepted theory is that the layers of dead skin are getting thinner as you progress. Keep in mind this is all anecdotal, but it's what I believe to be accurate
