Hello

I wrote a couple of days ago about my eye problems getting worse after three liver flushes. I plan the fourth flush this weekend. In the meanwhile, I saw an Ayurvedic doctor who recommended two procedures for my problem -

Shirodhara, which means pouring medicinal oil over the forehead for about an hour. And Tharpanam, which means keeping medicated ghee (a form of butter) over the eyes for a similar duration. I have been recommended 7 sessions of each of these two therapies.

I would like to give these methods a try because I feel that there is a congestion of toxins in my head and face area.

What I am curious about is whether these may interfere with the Liver Flush I plan this weekend. The skin will absorb all these oils - a huge quantity if the oil is going to be on it for one hour plus - and then it will be absorbed into the lymph and blood, and finally be cleared by the liver.

I know that on the day of the flush one should not take much oil or any kind of fat, but if one is going for these oil bathing procedures for 3 or 4 days before the flush, should that affect the efficacy of the flush? Would the liver be somewhat tired of cleaning out and digesting these oils? I am following Andreas Moritz 's protocol for flushes, and he just says one should eat a balanced diet in the days before the flush, which means, in his view, a vegan, cooked food diet suited to one's Ayurvedic dosha.

I am not sure what the answer is. Would appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks.
