Thanks, that was my conclusion - I was just reading Brownsteins book again and he makes a big thing of testing for it, but I know I am deficient or I wouldn't have hashi's. Finally started gradually increasing Iodine yet again. Got to 3.5mg without any problems other than feeling a bit fluey on and off (usually after a coffee enema) and slight tingling throbbing in the upper neck (I think salivary lymph nodes) and salivary glands but that's been going on for over 12 months even without Iodine so I shall persevere and hope to make it to 12.5mg if not further this time.
