I second the magnesium depletion.

Battling candida is just that, a battle and you must realize by now that there isn't a "standard" treatment. You and your Naturopath have to adjust your treatment as you notice changes in your body. If you wake up with a stiff neck and sore muscles, take a magnesium supplement for a few days. This site is a great resourse, but make sure you are paying attention to the reason for taking specific supplements. Candida runs rough shot over our bodies, but we need to make sure we don't do the same thing with a treatment. Your body wants to heal itself. Give it the chance.

I commend you for being on the diet for a year. It seems to be the most difficult part. Why not try to find something new for your diet? Some brief research on Indian cooking has me interested in trying some new things. Many of the dishes use lots of garlic and onions. I think their water quality has lead them to use lots of natural antifungal/antiparasitic ingredients.
