I was referring to the point made in the article that HCl is released when we eat protein, and less likely when eating rice and vegetables. It just seemed to me that since the meals we had eaten contained a small amount of protein(except perhaps your soy milk), that our bodies would not have released as much HCl as it was capable of releasing for the same meals with more protein in them.
In other words, if our stomachs were releasing as much HCl as they are capable of with a protein meal, the amount of HCl we had taken may have been too much. But since our stomachs were not releasing much of its own HCl, since it responds directly to protein intake, then we may not have been seeing how our bodies would actually react with a high protein meal. Basically, our stomachs aren't going to waste a lot of its HCl on rice, oatmeal, fruit or veggies, it will save it for fish, chicken, or steak, right?
Either way, I tested that hypothesis last night, and ate seafood. I still didn't get any warming. I guess I'm up to 3 today.
