Edgar Cayce was a bid proponent of Detoxified Iodine - basically iodine that has been processed to take all of the toxicity out of it.

Here's a link to buy some - there are 3 companies that i know that make it, and this company is by far the smallest... it is just one guy that makes the product. I've tried his and i've tried the detoxified iodine from the other bigger companies, and i vouch for his. It is wonderful stuff and has helped me a lot with low thyroid.

Edgar cayce said the iodine is the 'grease that oils the ductless glands' and the thyroid is just one of those glands. So... the iodine does more, for more glands, than just the thyroid. It makes them all work better together.
