We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I've already explained my position several times. Apparently you don't see a difference between someone making a factual proclamation (e.g. "Cats have tails" or "No one will lose weight unless they take in fewer calories than they expend" or "Rain is wet") and people talking about their experience or asking for help. I do see a difference, and I respond to them differently. I would NEVER respond to anyone who posted about their experience here, or asked a question, with "SO, what's your point?" I think THAT would be very rude. But if someone is making a proclamation, I think it is entirely appropriate to ask him or her what their point is. You don't.
