I know what you mean about worker's hands. My fingers felt like sandpaper. Putting it on moist skin helps. When my hands are dry, I sometimes rinse them before dipping into the coconut oil.

I don't believe in eating fats alone -- I use them to accent the flavor or digestibility of other foods. Carbs absorb more slowly when eaten with fats, so I put season with a flavor appropriate Good Fat. This isn't often coconut oil Somehow, the it just isn't appealing in most cases. I do use it for high heat sauteing, however. Sweet onions, sauted in coconut oil are lovely!

For moisturizing, I use a gotu koala gel. It is oil free and full of antioxidants. Very cooling and soothing. I avoid using anything with mineral oil anywhere. It is plant oils for my skin forever. Another moisturizer I've used is aloe vera juice -- the type that is for internal consumption. I keep it in the fridge. Very cooling and soothing!

I also use it on my hair from time to time. Haven't tried ears or nose. If I get an itch "down below", I use it there as well. It cures it overnight.

Glad you're already noticing dark spots fade. I think it is amazing -- our skin is hungering for this type of fat. Try it on stretch marks if you have them. Takes time, but they fade. Even old stretch marks, amazingly enough.
