Diet for renal failure! by Begsel ..... Animals & Pets Health Support

I also have a newly diagnosed renal failure cat. She is not anemic and was caught early and I give her SubQ fluids, but I'm still having trouble getting her to eat. She doesn't eat more than 2oz. of canned food a day (if I'm lucky). I combine Waltham Low Phosporus/Low Protein w/Science Diet Adult savory Fish (for taste). If I'm desperate, I add a drop or two of tuna and H2O puree I made in blender.

She doesn't like anything anymore. Will only take a few licks and walks away. I feed her at least 6xday. I'm unemployed now so I'm home and can do this but what will happen when I get a job?

I need advice.....
