I've read something in escalating gut healing that an overconsumption of aiding nutrients may result in an overabundance of reactions against other tissues.
Slippery elm is very efficient and so is L-Glutamine which may aswell be enough, what worries me is if/how much lactose different colostrum products contains.

When and if the villi's are damaged in LGS it can't ingest lactose which results in overfermentation where diarrhea and constipation follows with the lactic acids.
Now what's strange is that people can go tolerating lactose on and off with leaky gut sending out ambigious messages of what's going on inside them.
But i believe you can take colostrum, slippery elm and L-Glutamine, not all three in the same occasion since there's just a certain amount of healing factors the body can handle at a time.

On predicting how long it would take to heal one's gut?
Like for me where the bowels started to get inflamed 16 years ago the healing took about 6 months and that was mostly done by avoiding gluten but i would say that "temporarily" damaged gut would take about six weeks to heal to four months for the semi-severe.
Usually the villi's take one or two weeks to recover from modest damage but that's when candida is not present.
