Hi ash369,

How is your father doing?

I mentioned in my last post how a chemical imbalance is related to addiction. How the imbalance occures can be for a number of different reasons. Lack od essential dietary nutrients/amino acids, toxi-molecular substances and stress. Stress can deplete us quite quickly of our natural "Feel Good" hormones/nuerotransmitters. If these neurotransmitters are not replaced or manufactured from the amino acid's and nutrients from our food then we can develop all sorts of physciatric symptoms depending on the severity as well as what nuerotransmitteres are depleted will determine your addiction (or symptom of withdrawal).

While a person is in recovery it is most often nessesary to supplement with specifc thereputic grade nuetricueticals untill their "store house" is filled. Once that is done a person can remained balanced with the proper foods and would only need to supplement during periodes of high stress.

Relief of withdrawal can be almost immediately. With-in 15-20 min from taking it. This holds true for people who have already done some detoxifying prior to amino acide supplementation.

The gut (GI tract) uses the same nuerotransmitters as the brain does and therefor most often needs to be treated first or symultaneously in order to have an immediste effect on withdrawal symptoms.

Work at gut Healing eg. parasite cleanse, Healing leaky-gut (L-glutamin helps to repair the mucosa lining among a number of other benifits)

As far as the amino acid's for withdrawal would be dependant if your father is on any medication or if he has any other health problems.

Let me know how he is doing and if you would like any assistance in a treatment plan.

Wishing you both the best in health!
