Well, yes and no. I did not deliberately undertake a ”diet”, but because I have several disorders, I have an extremely strict diet. You are entirely correct. I should really get back on Isocort. It’s prescribed, but I stopped taking it because of funds. Symptoms of adrenal deficiency have worsened recently, probably due to severe family stress. I upped my Armour to 2.5 gr. just one week ago because I still felt hypo. it is my humble opinion that there really is no natural substance that will ’cure’ or be of great benefit to Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, although I could be wrong. Most people who have Hashi’s benefit from suppressing the thyroid by taking prescription medicine in certain dosages. What you say resonates with me as well as probably my daughter. I was raised in a similar household, although I was mentally, emotionally and physically abused, and I was the scapegoat child. If you have an MD who is cool, and listens to you, maybe he/she will cooperate. hi, at about 5 weeks I had lost 10 pounds. I am on 120 mgs -- which I break up into three doses (7:45, 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.). Those three doses I break up further. I switched my thyroid medication from the fake, awful synthetic drug to natural Armour thyroid, which contains T1/2/3/4 and calcitonin.
