I have already had done twice a biopsy test on my lips, so i think you should not worry about it. they cut off a few cm of the affected area whrever you choose to and after a week + it will heal itself and the skin grows back as it used to be, if you do, do it on the corner or inner part of the lip. unfortunately, the result was negative in both biopsys, it did not reveal much except bacterias and i guess these bacterias are found in everebody’s mouth.   [End]

I am sorry, i feel what u feel, however, the reason for sticking might be due to the daily peeling, try not to peel daily, mine peels every 7-9 days, i usually go out bad looking and try to apply vaseline, i have no choice and dont know what to do for many years and it has been a major obstacle to be with a woman.there should be a solution if one can find deligent doctor or doctors, i dont think that it has to do externally, rather, i think a deficit of some hormone. I can not leave the lips for more than a week and if i do, they detach by themselves after a week, actually, i always try to leave them longer than a week, but they start to be like a corn flakes, specially the bottom lip and in my case it started as a white dead skin cells (when getting up in the morning)and not as a wound, so, i dont think that leaving them alone helps, i stongly believe that it is internal chemical imbalance due to stress and other problems but the medical science is not paying attention about this problem.   [End]

my derm prescribed trentrion about a year ago for ec twice a day, but i didnt dare to apply it on my lips because i used this stuff for acne long ago and it burned my face, i guess i used too much of it and for this reason i have not used it so far but it might have a reason that she prescribed, but on the other hand as uklad said it might have a side effect by thinning the skin, but any way, it does not hurt to try it very little amount for each application, my derm recomonded for about two months.   [End]

I dont know for how long you tried it, but my derm too gave me this cream to try it and i applied it for more than a week atleast 4 or 5 times a day and the result looked the white lines inside the lips looked more white and embaressing and more hanging of the peeling crusts. it suppose to help for very dried skin, unfortunately, in my case it didnt do no good but anyways, the derm told me to apply it 10 times a day and the more i applied it the more hanging of the crusts and reveals the raw skin but on your case, you might have severely dried skin of the lips and not ec, but please tell ...

guys, i think it is too early to get excited about this healing claim, she might not have the ec what many of us experienced because almost i dont use any moisturizer but leave it alone for 8-10 days and the dead skin gets thicker and even sometimes it comes off by itself when i brush my teeth and i didnt experience what she did and i have been doing this for years and it didnt make any difference, so, if it is healed by leaving it alone, it is exceptional case but i want see the end, it is just only for 14 days.   [End]

I almost never have any sensation of burning or inflammation but peeling and overgrowing of the skin and also every morning when i get up the inner part of my lips i get white tissues and i peel about once in a week and what embaresses me infront of people is ,the raw lookig lip and then it fades to the normal color in about 3 days and this has been going on for about 19 years and it did not resolve by it self or by any phsician but agian, i dont have any symptom of inflammtion.   [End]

Carmex is a lip balm with many other ingredients including salicyclic acid , like menthol, phenol,lanloin, camphor, fragrance and etc, but in my case the derm gave me prescriiption pure salicyclic acid 5% to mix it with vaseline in the pharmacy,i think the acid has a burning effect and the vaseline helps to minimize the burning by moisturing the skin and meanwhile it fights the scaling and the keratin of the skin, this is what it claimed to be, but if anybody has ever tried this acid alone or with other moisturizer and didnt help,i dont want try and further damage my lips, because these de ...

hi guys, the derm recently ordered to apply SALICYCLIC ACID MIXED WITH VASELINE, the target is to peel the scaling and keratosis problem, because he thinks that the skin is normal except the keratin problem and he said that it is UNDEFINED CHELITIS and if the salicyclic acid 5% formula dosen’t help, the next step will be to take tablets orally to fight the keratin but i am not sure which tablets. Hey guys, I was agreeing about the cortisol being the root cause of our problem(EC) and everybody gives ideas and research about it and it has been concluded that abnormal amount of cortisol caused EC(atleast from what i understood ), having said this i question...did any of you check your own cortisol level and find out that it is abnormal???
