I have had chronic constipation for five years and have tried multiple remedies with not very lasting results. One of them I read here for All Bran but it stopped working regularly so I quit it. Spirtualme, I do have herpes and I did continue to take MMS for three addional days but the rash spread over my lungs and stomach keep getting bigger and nothing I could take would stop it. Marlene, The rash turned out to be a very serious staph infection, so right I am currently taking two antibiotics and drinking lots of water. It seems to have improved somewhat the last couple of days which I am thankful for as some infections are not effective. The rash didn’t go away, but has gotten worse, even though I haven’t taken MMS the last two days, I should have stopped on Thursday or before. I started out very slowly taking one drop of MMS and 5 drops of Lemon juice with some pure grape juice and purified water in the am starting last Friday. Oxypowder might get you going again, but just be careful that you don’t have to take that all the time. They are an honorable company because they will refund your money if you don’t like it so it might be worth trying. (I ordered it once, but when they sent me another order that I didn’t order, I refused that and sent the other back and they did give me a full refund.) Is this possible? I really don’t want to take the conventional colonoscopy or sigmidoscopy because I am very constipated,bleeding at times,and feel I have some blockage. I don’t want to have things poked in me especially when you have to sign a release for these tests. I don’t know much about probotics and I bought a product called PB 8. It was $13 for 30 and in capsule form and not refrigerated. Is this too cheap a price to pay for a probotic? I know yogurt is constipating and I have started taking Miralax a few days ago. I wonder if this probotic or will even a good brand probotic interfer with the laxative? I agree with skip. There is one on TV called Amighty Cleanse which is for 7 days. It has a good review on cureszone. I have never used ozypowder, but that also gets a lot of good reports. It is tough trying to find something tht isn’t habit forming or harmful. I have been having chronic constipation for quite awhile. Today, I finally saw a GI doctor that told me to take Miralax,2 teaspoons of mineral oil,and a suppository in the morning and one suppository at night. Alkalizingkatie, What is LBB? I tried taking Natural Calm which is Magnesium Citrate and it seemed to work alittle, but it seemed to iritate my stomach with bleeding. I guess that is why I am leary of taking Oxypowder which is I think is Magnesium Oxcide. I took Colonix, but it did not work, either. I was also drinking some Organic Aloe vera Juice, but I decided to stop that as that is a laxitive, too. The one I bought just said organic aloe vera juice and was clear and did not list what % juice it was. Volta fan or whomever, If you have high blood pressure, it would be very unwise to take this flush because salt raises your blood pressure. (HBP wasn’t mentioned in the instructions, but it certainly should have been.) Also, as a reminder, salt retains water in your system regardless of what kind, and taking this on a daily basis doesn’t sound that appealing for your long term health. Well, this was my third day of constipation and this afternoon I was able to go again without pain or straining. This sure has been a real emotional roller coaster ride this week and I really feel for people with constipation or bowel problems. (When this body function is not working, I know firsthand how it can really make you uptight and depressed.) Dave, I noticed nobody has ever responded to your post, but nobody has responded to me either, so I’ll say a few words as I don’t like the silent treatment. Olive oil seems to be okay to use and I noticed today that someone suggested using oilive oil and lemon juice for cleansing and constipation. I tried a teaspoon of each and this was much easier to take and it may have helped me to ease my constipation alittle. I don’t think olive oil can hurt you unless you take too much and over do it. That second time was almost like diaherra and that is usually what happens if I take Senkot-S or other laxitives, it doesn’t continue on without help. Well, since nobody has responded, apparently I’m the only one that ever mixed these two. So this is what happened when I did. I went to a local healthfood store and they recommended I try Aloe Vera juice and a product called ”Natural Calm” which balances calcium intake and supposedly restores healthy magnesium levels. In addition to not being comfortable, it really was a high priced enema if I have to run to the bathroom instead of having the machine remove the stool. I have been having some constipation for quite awhile. I have had to strain a lot and I have been gettting small blood stains on the tissue with no stool. I have also gotten some soreness and discomfort in the rectal area.
