As far as I know you can take Miralax. It works differently then standard stool softeners, it increases the amount of water in your bowels, so its not habit forming. Thats what my dr told me when I had to give it to my 2 yr old.

Call your insurance company and tell them you want a hysterectomy due to your ongoing problems but the dr says no because they wont cover it. See what they say. They do grant things sometimes if the patient calls. If you are that set on it then its definitely worth a try.

6-8 safe days isnt very much but I would rather be extra safe ! I can usually tell when I ovulate so I usually go by that. I cant stand the thought of putting anymore synthetic hormones in my body. I have been tracking my cycles on mymonthlycycles.com and avoiding sex or using a condom during my fertile times. I am very on the fence about vaccinations. But I can tell you my son has autism, more specifically he has Aspergers Syndrome. Luckily his case is not severe but its there and its not easy. You certainly could be. There are people who get pregnant right after getting it removed. In all honesty I am not sure the bleeding you have directly after removal is a period or not. I never asked my dr. I just thought it was a bleed from the withdrawl itself. Chances are your cycle would take months to go back to normal so unless you want to get pregnant, you should always have protected sex when you come off this device. What pill are you on ? You may not do well with that particular synthetic hormone. I took pills and the patch for many years and never had a problem with a side effect until Mirena. I assume that made me sensitive to the Levonorgestrel. I see that hormone is used in Eugynon, Logynon, Microgynon, Ovran 30, Ovranette and Trinordial.

Isnt it amazing that when you think about things they started around the time of insertion ?? I too had fuzzy eyes and the depression. My vision wouldnt be 100%. I never had a problem with the pill or the patch. I did have a problem with the depo (similar side effects). I believe I need to be on birth control with both progesterone and estrogen The patch and all the pills I was ever on were dual hormones. Since Mirena is estrogen free (as well as the depo), I believe thats why I reacted to them so badly.
Some women cant take estrogen because they react badly. I think this device would be a great possibilty for them.

The problem is that people are being dismissed by their doctors when they bring up these as potential side effects. It doesnt even list them on the pamphlet. It just names PID, cysts and perforation. Which are of course the most serious ones. Then it says see your dr for a complete list. But the dr’s apparently arent educated enough from the Mirena representatives.

I was told that when your cycles return to normal the hormone is out and all side effects should be gone. I had immediate relief from the tiredness, depression and irritability after 2 days.
