If you have ever fasted, then you know that the first 3 days are pretty much the hardest-that is how long it takes for the sugar, carb, etc. to get ot of your system. After about 3 days the physical craving should be over and you have to be smarter than the food (that is the way it was put to me- and the only way it made sense (thanks, Dr. Phil)). From then on, for me at least, the hunger really does subside and when you feel physically hungry the lemons and maple syrup raise your blood sugar enough so the empty feeling goes away.
