I struggled with feeling cold as well. It is a shortage of sodium in ratio to potassium. For me additional calcium also made the problem worse as calcium can also compete with sodium. I have a produce market in the area that I live that does not seem to mind people tasting and testing before they buy. I find that in a store setting it is far less confrontational to test produce than at a farmer’s market. In my testing I haven’t found organic produce tests higher BRIX than conventional produce. The organic stuff does have the advantage of not having any pesticide residues, but you can grow low BRIX produce organically. I personally grew some pretty terrible strawberries this last time around ;). Every time I try to come up with some general rule as a substitute for testing, it never holds up.
