There are holes in your response. They had vast wealth in the middle east at one point. They had forests, great crops, water, etc...The garden of Eden was known to have come from that region. They had at one point known the blessings of God. They squandered it. They forgot about God and turned to other gods. They thanked the sun, moon, wind, rain for their wealth. In turn, their land became parched and starved for the very things they were worshipping.
In the 17, 1800s we lived by horse and buggy and oil lamps. We became blessed with this land because of the promise Isreal made ...
