Blog: Water Fast until June 13th
My name is Alex and last year on June 13th I finally became sober after about 10 years of drug addiction. It has been a great year and I am planning to celebrate on June 13th. Today I realized that I need to do something about all the extra weight that I had put on, and this is going to be my last step in becoming a complete person.
I am now 244.5lbs... Not the biggest that I have ever been, but it is bothering me so I am doing something about it. This year of recovery showed me that anything in this world is possible once you put your mind to it and also that in order to accomplish things, you need a support network, and that is why I am starting this blog. The plan is to stay on liquids, mainly water with lemon juice until June 13th. I might drink some coffee or tea, but not eat solid food..

Congratulations on your decision! All you have to do is pass the first few days, which are hard at times. Just have a super-strong will-power to start with until "hunger" (which is just fear mostly) subsides. You will realise after that that you don't really need food, it's a myth! and you won't feel hungry any more, just bored with not tasting food that's all.
(why did you choose a picture of a poor little cat all shaved up?... how awful, the poor little thing.)
