Blog: Action Girls Water Fast
It almost does not feel that I have been fasting for this long. I feel much stronger then my previous fast which lead me in the hospital due to the flu.
I drink a lot of water. Yet my urine is still on the dark side. It must have to do with the weight ratio. I drink whenever I feel thirsty, fatigue, faint, or just plain dry mouth. It is usually about 80 ounces per day. The additional fluids feel normal and never feel like I am stuffing myself with liquids. Most of it feels like it absorbs and then a portion expels naturally.
Since fasting I have mentioned that I indulge in pampering myself. It has helped so much in my willpower and the overall feeling. I looked back at an old fast I did eight years ago which was successful to completion and found I pampered myself a lot. Actually any success I have I focused on loving myself. Made a huge difference.
By the way I have already filled on whole binder with recipes from various websites. It has gotten a bit excessive.
I did not sleep last night. But instead of moving around, burning precious energy I decided to lay down just relax. Sometimes I felt anxious and other times I slept for a few minutes. The overall results was when I finally ‘woke’ up I felt refresh. I think this is important to note that even if you feel energize during a fast you should still rest at appropriate times you would when not fasting. Today I have to go to work. I knew I had to go to work yesterday, so I decided it was important to recharge myself.
I feel the need to record every thread of information because for me it makes a difference. The information might not make sense now but five months from now I might realize something. If it was not for my previous fast detail notes I would not realize all the pampering I do during successful fasts. Fasting tends to be a blur from one day to the next. Even when I am alert I forget stuff from one thought to the other.
All this written, I feel writing .2 or .5 regarding my weight is important. It is not a sneeze away from being a full pound lost. I urinate right before my weigh-ins and even an hour after it will still say .2. I feel this information is important to write accurately and not knock off a couple digits because it could mess up the numbers for the next day. Weight lost is already starting to slow down. Every digit matters to me.

Hi,what's the reason your fasting in the first place?
and how long are you trying to go with out food?
I did a one week fast before, and strange enough I didn't feel any stomach aches or feel to weak or dizzy. Might have been my body just coping by slowing down its metabolism. What i've found to help with fasting is to stop thinking about it and just continue with your day-to-day.
Best of luck, and take care of yourself when fasting. : )

My fast is a house cleaning of sorts. I have been dealing with a lot of stress in my day to day life physically and emotionally. I hope fasting will help able me to better focus on what is most important and rise from the stress that has taken over my life.
Regarding weight lost, I am going to stop writing down how much I lose. I do not want people to think this is the cure all for obesity. Reality after my fast I could gain back the weight and double. My weight lost is determined on my lifestyle changes after the fast.
(Somehow I feel the need to express that)
So far fasting is like any other day if I was not fasting. I do not need to think too much about the fact that I am fasting. But I do detail in my blog entries by passing thoughts of the moment for later reference.
Thank you for the response.
