I have wanted to start a juice fast for a while... never had the time, the will, etc. Now I have decided and starting it today. Actually I just decided a few hours ago (and after I had had my morning coffee...) lol.
I don't yet have a juicer but I ordered one and it should arrive in two days. So far I will get the fresh juice froma a bar. It's gonna cost me more but I just don't want to wait another two days.
I have different reasons for fasting. Of course I'd like to drop some weight - maybe like 20 pounds. But more than that I need some new energy. I have been so tired for the last few months and I can feel how every meal not gives me strength but takes it. I'm even more lethargic and tired after eating instead of getting energy from food. I can't live my life like that, I'm only 30. And here is hope juicing will help me, fingers crossed!
I haven't actually prepared myself much. I have been eating more raw, more veggies, drinking some juices for few weeks, but I have also had meat, fat, sweets... And I'm a huge coffe-drinker. This part will probably be tough, as I can hardly function without the morning cup. Also I don't know yet how I'll manage the "cooking for family" issue, as I have hungry men at home every day. We'll live and see I think.

Ok, here I go. Keep an eye on me, will you?

I have a houseful of men too. I just started my Master Cleanse yesterday, and will be incorporating days of dry fasting once I get through these first few days of adjustment to no food. I use juicing to move out of the cleanse and back to food. I cooked a huge roast for my guys, made a big pan of a casserole they love, bought some fruit and veg they can grab and eat, and made sure there was what we call "freezer food" as well. Even their favorite black bread and cheese for making the ultimate grilled cheese sandwiches. They can heat up or eat cold so many fairly healthful things from the fridge and freezer while I cleanse/fast. I have learned in the past that getting rid of the junk, so as not to be tempted, and then providing things I know they will eat that just don't lure me makes a huge difference in my successful fasting journey. My hubby will be joining me in the fast/cleanse starting tomorrow, but our houseful of teenagers on spring break still have plenty of good food to eat that doesn't require my involvement.

        Thanks for stepping in!
Looks like you're well prepared :)
I made a pork roast and baked potatoes and steamed vegetables for dinner. All things I can resist easily. Soup or casserole or stew would be much harder and I won't be cooking them for a while. I should be safe tomorrow to Friday as I'll be at a conference in another town (going home for night, but hopefully they have prepared their dinner by then lol).
Good luck with your master cleanse!
