  • Some reasons for going liquid...   by  loganberry     18 y     4,517       10 Messages Shown       Blog: Fire at the Kitchen, World's First Liquidarian 'Blog
Going liquid is a personal choice, in that unlike raw or veganism, you can't say it's what the whole world should do. It's what you feel you have to do to fulfill your potential and "maximize your options", as Someone once said to me. Once you've puzzled over what you need and want in your life, and tried various dietaries, you're in a position to know yourself. What's really going to make you happy to wake up? happy to go to sleep? more loving with trees and your loved one? the best dancer and singer and colorist and drummer you can be? the calmest when rejected? the alivest and healthiest? the most shriven of your past - your own sins and others' against you and others' against the world? What we eat is what we are - what you ate yesterday is what you are today, and what you eat today will be what your life is next year. Look at what you eat today - do you want that to be your life when you are another year older and, perhaps, another year farther from your dream?

I just don't connect well with eating solids. They bring me down. They're problematic. We want a dietary that's going to allow us to stop thinking about food and start living and being true and essential and Good, and beautiful, too. Have you reached the limit of the misery and depression you can tolerate?

Making a commitment to a dietary seems to be a lot like making an emotional commitment to love someone. Nobody tells you, no "guru" or "expert" or "study on chimps", to love someone - if you do, it's because you have to, even if you don't want to and it's a vast inconvenience, and no-one will ever support you in it. You're called. Some people get positive feedback (from the loved one, requition) and societal reinforcement for their love, and many do not. It's like that with dietary. Then look at the quality of the relationship. Look at the marriages that had the weddings and the ritual vows and even _cost money_. Look at the contracts between people and the dietaries that get media/medical reinforcement. Wouldn't you rather be you? The pressure mounted by La Machine against your most holy feelings or against your dietary forge - can forge - a QUALITY and TRUTH and sacredness of relationship and of life that the billions will never know. Hint: if it hurts, if it's difficult and does not come easy but takes time and discomfort and re-wiring and re-structure to work through, you are on the right track.

We expect a lot from the people we've identified as those-we-love, and it's often in the form of an urgency and franticness that has little if anything to do with them, and a lot to do with past - past junk, past programming, past mistakes. If we ever want true love, we have to learn to investigate the pain, pressure and discomfort we feel when things are going wrong, when we are feeling hurt and rejected - and it's the same thing with commtting to a dietary. Key: STOP your reactivity. If someone hurts you, DON'T DO what you usually do. That's your key to your holiest desires. If you're on your dietary and you DON'T GET the paradise you expect - if you feel insane with detox, grumpy, fierce, wiped out, foggy, disappointed, letdown, unsupported by your dietary that's supposed to make everything better NOW the wayyou want it, don't just react by eating something cooked or nonvegan or solid or whatever. You're experiencing something that isn't about you OR the dietary - it's about the past, the past dietary, the past poisons, other people's poisons you let get into you. You have to let the dietary you are on unfold according to its own time and wisdom. Trust it. Accept its unphotogenic face, accept its hair-tearing unpredictability, accept its deathly silence when you want it to talk to you. Hang in there.

Just committing, just "showing up", open, every day, to whatever, is a profound act of miraculously loving transformation. It'll change you in everything you are and do, make you much gentler and softer and sweeter, happier with yuourself.

This rant hasn't really been about reasons to go liquid!

I want better skin and hair, amazing thought and mental energy, spiritual and emotional happiness, connection with all the beauty in the universe, peace and serenity and relaation and I want to be my best. I want to be the good, brilliant, euphoric me one usually only glimpses in a very few special times - I want to be that every day, all the time.

I spoke with my roommate about becoming Liquidarian today - I also shared many of the same thoughts with him.

I choose not to be dependent on food for my happiness, rather, I choose to be more interested in Nature, in Soul, in being calm and complacent, understanding, open.

Bravo on your contribution. :) You are the World. [and so much more].

What time will you be starting..? I'm in Texas, Central Time.

      Here's to the stars -

Papillon, I wish to reply in a great deal more depth to your earlier message of today - and will do so. I was hoping to later today.

For now, my brief answer, frankly, is NO, we are not like the "breatharians" - I don't believe that there is a single honest, true, really practising breatharian. They all, like David Jubb and Jasmuheen, think it's okay to pretend to eat a lirttle and meanwhile eat "cheese-cake", as the article I Websearched on Jubb said! No, we're not doing that, not remotely. We're doing this not for show, not to make money. We just want to be the best us we can be. In that light, I think you should implement whatever oil (coconut or flax or hemp - whatever) that you feel, or intuitively "know" helps you to be your best YOU - that's what it is about. We are really going to be honest, loving liquidarians, not hype-masters and charlatans. If you have a strong feeling about coconut oil/butter, or even less dissolvable things like bee pollen or WHATEVER, I say: follow it. Work it into your liquidarianism. Liquidarianism is, for me, not about lying to yourself or anyone else, the way breatharians do - we're just following what we feel is the ultimate. The difference is, we're really doing it. If we want cheeecake, we have light within us to say, no, cheesecake is abusive to us and the gentle sweet cows who are tied by the horns in dairy farms, never can turn their heads, never can turn around, and are killed after a lifetime of slavery anyway. We love too much to actually eat cheesecake and pretend it's all right just because we call ourselves liquidarians (like Jubb). Oh, Papillon, I know that's not right.

This is about having the courage, and the love from SOMEBODY ELSE IN THIS WORLD, to be our best "me" - so if you hear 80-10-10 liquidarianism calling you, go for that. Work in the oil in the drink that your body/mind says YES to, and work in what greens you can. Just remember that fruit juices are refined carbohydrates and can set up chemical cravings it's so difficult to fight just with your mind - they are so PRIMAL and deeper than our will. So try what feels best and if you can't keep at it, try to increase the greens for balance and serenity - calm when you feel like freaking or dying or killing. My way is I'm going to have mostly greens, but with a natural sweetening agent, like fruit juice or even raw agave nectar (unheated). The more green I can be, I think the safer I'll be from wild crazy bingeing and getting desperate. The mind is no match for our biochemistry - we just get driven to do what we hate - we have to fight this with its own physiological weapons.

I'm always here for you. I'm glad you said it'll be a doozy for you - it'll be way a doozy or me too! not even clean sailing the first day, maybe - certainly "issues" will arrive in the first couple of weeks. But remember, we're doing this for ourselves and for whatever we love most in/about our lives or life itself in all its beautiful potential, so tweak it as you feel instinctively best. I really do know that the more we can stay on track, the more our "mind" won't have to decide what's "okay" and what isn't - in fact, we'll have much greater, clearer, purer communication with our essential "good" self and our body-mind - it'll say, "Add more green juice", or, "Add some more of that coconut oil stuff - makes me feel good - hummmmm", or "Can you cut back on the fruit juice? Makes me feel kind of sugared out and down" or "Give me some more of that pineapple juice - enzymes! Whooppee!" and we'll be able to listen and try those suggestions, without freaking out, without "reacting" from our past, our hurting old self. That old mind-y self won't even be in the room discussing in. We'll be NEW. I know it really happens. And it's a miracle. Taking the whole eating reins away from the "me", at least that false me made by society and family, and putting it in the hands of real-me, healthy happy me.

I don't have a human roommate, but if you do, you know...that it's the best, most loving thing, most PRESENT gift you can give to someone you are actually interacting with. To interact with him as truth, as love - as you. It's so difficult to know You - no words can really help - but the thing is, You are waiting there, in your chrysalis, waiting to just fly free from Them, Their agenda for your life, Their limitations. I can't think of anything really that's more precious to give someone you may not feel you _can_ love now, but whom you want to love, be free to love or not, as your real spirit bids. Whatever we feel, we want to feel as our real "Me", our real self, not the garbage of people and masses of people we don't even care about and who are against our joy and freedom.

Our liquidarianism is going to be truth, not lies. So whatever version is your truth at this time, do that. It's about what your heart really believes in and goes out to - it's about what your Body and troubled Soul say Yes, this is Good, too. If that means oil in your liquid, then that is PRECISELY what your liquidarianism should be. Me, I've yet to have that Strong Sense of Yes, Good, from oils, so when I start, I'll be starting free of overt fats - maybe some spirulina for GLA - I do believe that if we are faithful for 2-3 months, we will get very clear signs of how to refine our liquidarianism to make it work best for all we want out of life, what we want for our bodies, our goals and dreams. We'll follow that voice WITHOUT EFFORT.

It is so wonderful that you are there and READY to start - I'm going to have a raw vegan dinner and then start around 7 p.m. your time - I'll tell you when. Saying good-bye to stuff that's never made me happy - you know it'll feel so good. There's something I just don't like at all about eating - but I'm not at all against nourishing, really feeding myself healthily. I'm all for that. People might think that we're saying, the body doesn't need food really at all, but I don't think that's what we're saying. I think we're saying most people never get beyond the love and support and identit they try to get from their food - it never works. They live and die, in the embrace of "food", and it sure isn't food they've reared and grown and picked - it's somebody else's false product, like pornography instead of true love. I think we're into nourishment and are choosing the way that is most efficiently nourishing, most responsive to our actual primal needs, not the fractured, self-undermining needs that our upbringing thrusts upon us so uncaringly. If we do this, we have room to be open to life, because the part of us that needs to be safe and taken care of, is really being taken care of! Like being born again. And doing it right this time.

I'm so glad you're there, doing this with me, even if it's just you and me. But I'm sure we'll inspire the world! It's something some of us just can't get out of our systems until we do it. It's only a betrayal of those who don't really love us or care what/who we are or become - for those we love, it's the ultimate expression of that love, of our best love.

Get ready for doozy detox - if you feel like screaming or bingeing, email me. I too am doing this because I want to be so much more than "food". When you feel like eating, "eat" Nature. "Eat" music. "eat" a friend. "Eat" Yourself. How does that feel? Turn towards these things where once we turned to bread or whatever.

What does it feel like to "eat" what we love, connect with, what our hearts go out to? No, I do not want my mind, my self, my life to be about eating anymore. It's been long enough - and it hasn't been good enough. Not NEARLY, faintly good enough. As a budding liquidarian, I sincerely believe we can't be our best or even know what our best is, "on food". We can feel our souls going out of us, lost...

To reuniting with (or finding, for once) our souls - and to the stars!

        ~ Loganberry with love.

Hey you - nearly everything that you've said resonates exactly with what I was trying to put into words. I love it!

7:00 p.m. hit and I swallowed the last bit of food in my mouth. I used to be an anorexic, then a binge eater, now dealing with bulimia, so food was an integral part of my life.

In my family, my father made delicious food [he's going to open his own restaurant on the Canary Islands.. or somewhere around there]. My family was always seeking love, and we found it through food. It seems we had a hard time expressing affection unless it was on a plate, and edible. :)

But food never seemed to be 'right' with me. It just felt normal to not eat, to be without food.

It's my emotions that scream for it, and the reason why I give in.

Thanks again so much for your support. I really look forward to this.

Much much love, you are so gorgeous inside and out,
          ~Papillon

          Hi Loganberry,

Very interesting way to think about the lifestyle of liquidarianism.  I practice liquidarianism with intermittent Dry Fasting - no water or food.  I then do long water fasts at least twice a year at 15 days each.  This equals about 5 months a year that I take in Liquid carrots, apples, lettuce, some pure green tea and some oranges for treat.  My motivation for this lifestyle might be different then others.  My motivation is Life Extension; I started the journey from the scientific research side of it.  I found that food is the main cause of aging in the human organism.  From there I have been compiling research to find the best possible methods to reduce the ever compounding damaging effects of food and increase the human life span from the very low max of 120 years or so.  To date I have found that liquidarianism every second day with Dry fasting on the other combined with long water fasting (healing fasting) is a powerful step in that direction.  It has taken me over a year to get to where I am now and I am becoming more and more comfortable with the lifestyle.  It is very nice to see others are also living a similar lifestyle out there and I'm sure you will see many healthy years of life.  On another note, I do believe that breatharian might be possible; however I too have not corresponded with any that truly practice it as it should be.  True breatharians digestive organs would in-active and putting in something like cheese cake would cause great damage.

..are going to be my heroes if you can pull this off.

I am being totally serious, I'm doing a 40-day juice fast right now and am only on day 11, what the two of you are proposing is basically a permentant juice fast and that gets you MAJOR props in my book. I can undertand why you'd want to do it, and I've no doubt you'll feel much better ALL THE TIME once you've made the switch, a pretty powerful reason for the cause, but I know I wouldn't be able to do it, otherwise I'd be joining you.

I just wanted to let you know that I'm rooting for you both. Best of luck!!

Thank you so awfully much, Matthew. Don't think your rooting doesn't make a big difference, because it does. We need it.

It'd be great if you could join us, but we'll just have to prove ourselves first (and prove the cause!) - then you can jump in when you just can't help it. It's an interesting point you raise about our "fasting all the time" - I think it's essential that we not think of it as fasting, that's why it's great if Papillon wants to add some "liquidy" oil or fat and cover as much nutritional ground as feels good to her and supportive. It's just a state-of-mind thing, but I think if we think of it as fasting, that sets up a sort of psychological atmosphere where in 5 weeks or so, we're ready to call it quits.

What exactly are all the subtle and not-so-subtle adjustments we're going to have to make to think of this as not a fast, a rest, a hiatus, a vacatiion, a temporary period of cleansing or deprivation or whatever, roped off from the rest of our time as a "special time", and instead to think of this as a "fixture", a go-the-distance part of how we relate to being alive, over time and through thick and thin? I don't know! not yet. Logically, it shouldn't be any different from "being" vegan or raw, which you don't just do for a little while and then go back to other ways of "eating", but somehow it is, and I don't know if that's just a societally-condiioed mental thing, r ifthere is real physiological basis for needing solids after a while.

But I'll find out and you can watch and decide for yourself if it sounds tenable. That's why it's important to be honest about our experience. It's still a _very_ pioneer-y area, you can't be drawing imaginary maps of the terrain out of your head because other people need those maps for their own journey. You have to be honest about where the fire-pits and pot-holes and quicksand swamps and dragons are.

Doesn't that sound wonderful - feeling better ALL THE TIME? But you're right - there's a switch to make, and I'm sure it's as much a switch in te mind, etc. as a switch in the body.

How are you feeling? Multi-congratlations on Day 11 - I tried to look up messages you've posted, but can't access them, but I'll look more closely tomorrow, your Day 12. For every faster's own information is deeply valuable for us, too. Every faster's own experience is part of what we need to know about, to help warn and prepare us and to help inspire us and keep us going with reasons to do this and hopes and dreams for what it'll give us back!

Have a great night. Hoping to sleep as much as my liquidarian body needs to tomorrow morning! Weird how it's sort of about learning to love oneself and take care of oneself - we all tend to just throw ourselves food instead, counterfeit "care" and warmth and sustenance, so when you stop doing that, you're forced to give yourself _real_ love and caring. What a big thing that is.

I really appreciate your post - it makes it so much easier and more joyous. And your sentiments, too - we're doing this for _you_ now as well as ourselves.

        Love, Loganberry
