  • Beginning of day 2 pre-fast...   by  Willa Need Power     18 y     3,401       5 Messages Shown       Blog: Changes for Life (formerly: My 30 Day Juice Fast Challenge)
Well, I've learned alot. I already knew how much emotion gets involved when we deal with food but I had a panic attack yesterday and I had to deal with it through breathing deeply, cry a bit and suck it up.

I want this so bad. I want to get well in everyway and to loose weight at the same time. I went to a funeral visitation yesterday and I couldn't fit into any of my good clothes and even the one's I got into felt horrible. Easy to gain weight when you wear sweat suits to work. They stretch and help you fool yourself about what is really going on. I so badly wish I can do this right so that I stop yo-yo'ing with my weight. I know how dangerous it is.

I did a SWF yesterday and had results for 8 hours. Wow! I've done it before but this was something. I won't be doing that for awhile. Another thing I learned yesterday is that you really need to read your labels. I thought "it is cold, I'll just have tomato soup". What harm is that? Did you know there is corn syrup in it and flour? Well, I had it anyway, it filled me up. But I won't be eating that agian. Read you labels!

I haven't bought a juicer but I think I will borrow one. I also know that I really need to preplan and have my meals here and ready or I know I will fall into temptation. Living where I do, I don't have access to very much organic foods unless I travel.

Day two. I woke up with terrible back pain. Ah, yes, pain is another reason for eating. That will change. I also noted my face seemed somewhat swollen. But that went down after about an hour. Started with a good juice. I think my body is going to go into shock. But that is ok too.

Does anyone one do oilpulling with their fasts? This is something I would like to try. There is some excellent reading on this site and links. I need every tool I can use to make the most of this time.

Well, day 2 and all is well so far. Life takes patience, goals take patience...I must always keep that in mind.

I had some initial aches and pains during my pre-fast too but they didn't last long. Also, once you break through to ketosis you won't have any hunger pangs (but the smell of food will be incredibly tempting). Are you having any body work done for yourself??

I haven't had any body work for awhile. I should but I am in a small town and I refuse to go to my competitors. But when I head out of town for anything I try. So it has been about 6 weeks. I will get something done. Thanks for the advice.

I have two old fractures in my upper back and a weak right SIJ. So, I ache from that. Some days are worse some are better. Had scar tissue removed this summer in my thoracic spine. I need to strengthen. I did check out the Dorn Method and found great releif, surprisingly, for my sacrum.

Working on it!! Thanks for your support.

    • oil pulling   by  tambee     18 y     1,533
I haven't done oil pulling but it does look very interesting! It seems like such an easy thing to do to relieve ailments and rid toxins. That and doing a liver stone flush is on my list of things to try. The amazing things we all learn through being on this site!!

I know! I found this site by accident and have just loved it.

I haven't started the oil pulling. They recommend that it is done in the morning on an empty stomach and I am so afraid of putting oil in my mouth and getting sick. But, people love it and some even crave it. I'll get over my fear soon and just do it. lol

        Be well,

        Willa
