Day 1 of my water fast. Nothing really to report, it is going pretty good. I find day 1 to be the hardest, my mind is trying to find all the reason to break the fast. I am staying strong and looking forward to completing this fast. visit the page My weight 13 y

My main goal is to fight depression which is caused by my weight gain. I used to go to church all the times and I felt closer to GOD. Now days I feel like I lost that connection.
I truly do believe in fasting and prayer for the reason I have experienced many miracles in my life.
I use ketone strips to test my urine on day two, to see if I am burning any fat. If the strip shows there are ketones in my urine then I am motivated to keep going because I know my body is burning fat. visit the page Pre-Fast 13 y

Today is October 19th, 2011, I am writing this entry at 1:24pm est time.
1. What is the purpose of the fast?
To get closer to god, re-conncecting with god, getting rid of problems and deppression in my life.
2. What is my biblical basis?
To find god, to find myself, soul searching
3. What other factors influence this fast?
lost myself, depression, lost connection with god, weight issue, sadness, sorrow, loss
