- Not really anything to report yet but it helps just writing here to keep me going the first few days.
Ok, I have had it. My fasting starts right now. It’s 4:30 pm 5/9/12. When I break it, I will break it at the same time 4:30 pm of whatever day. Hope to go at least 3 weeks or more.
Throwing out anything edible in my house. I really got to just do this not matter how awful I feel and get it over with.
Day 1 starts in 30 minutes at midnight. Just start by counting tomorrow as day 1 instead of worrying about the 4:30 thing. The first 2 days are the hardest for me to get through but here goes. Can’t sleep much at night, so I’ll be up probably cleaning.

Diet coke is starting to taste bad now that I went several days with out it.
I am confident now I can do with out it.

The food cravings where really strong today, I almost ate, drank a diet coke. It’s going to be a imperfect water fast as I struggle to stop drinking it. I am going to keep going with my fast and battling the urge to drink any diet cokes. The more I can go with out drinking it I think it will help reduce the cravings for it.

Juiced and ate a little raw fruits and some celery yesterday.
Made it through my first day of water fasting. I am using filtered water since it’s hard to find distilled water in my neighborhood. Had some food cravings in the evening. But otherwise I felt fine. Wasn’t used to drinking plain water at first but if I drink it with ice it’s ok.

A lady died from drinking too much coke. I think it was regular but it sounds like she was drinking the same amount as me. Well then it’s good I have stopped. At least for 3 days so far.
Lemon water fasting today, might do juice fasting this evening and for a few days, not sure. My main goal is to withdrawal from diet cokes at the moment. read more

They are long videos if you can watch them but very informative. I read the book ”The Pleasure Trap” they are talking about. By Dr. Alan Goldhamer. Talks about how addictive processed food is and eating natural diet and fasting.
On my 2nd day without diet coke but not fasting yet. It’s hard going without it, I didn’t want to do anything but sleep all day since I didn’t have any diet coke. I’m up doing things now and feel better. read more

Have a serious diet coke addiction besides a food addiction. I got up to drinking about 4-5 2 liter bottles of diet coke a day!
Starting out with a lemon water fast to help me ease into pure water fasting. Because I am so used to only drinking diet cokes all the time, lemon water fasting should make it easier for me to start with, then after a few days I will do pure water fasting.
The hardest thing for me is going to be not drinking diet cokes more than going with out food.
