Well I have totally failed you by not blogging like I wanted to. For this fast, I have been a bit naughty and been juicing too as for some reason I was struggling with sticking with the fast. However for the last few days I have been only on a water fast. So today is actually day 12 but was not as successful as the last few fasts.
Beginning weight was 315
For this fast start weight was 255
Today’s weight is 250.
But like I said, not a true testiment to what a fast can do. I will be on the water fast strictly until day 18 which is on Sept 13th. SO I will blog each day now. The ... read more

Ok today I am back. I am well now. The one thing that has really impressed me is since I stopped my last fast in august, I have not gotten back any of my former cravings. This fasting really works!! But it takes practice!
Today is day one of my 16 day fast. This fast is to prepare me for a 30 day fast that will begin in October. I have maintained my weight loss generally. I have gained a few since I ended my last one but I am also menstruating so that normally adds a few.
Ok regardless, my weight today is 254 so thats my start weight for this fast.

Well I am on antibiotics now for an infection and they have made me incrdibly sick because Im not eating. Today my tongue is red with no white evident at all. And hunger pains have returned. My stomach is growling. So perhaps this time my fast is over. They always tell you when your hunger returns that you should eat. I am also so sick that I have not been able to get out of bed today at all accept to have a shower. So I have broken the fast by drinking juice and having half an apple. - Day 11 water fast
Well today I woke up and went for a run. About 45 minutes into the run I felt intense nausea. I had to stop and walk. I walked home with great difficulty. I felt weak and almost feverish. I got home and lied down and then realized I was dehydrated. I drank about 3 glasses of water and felt better. So mental note, take water for the run! That was kind of stupid. I feel better tonight. I have stayed the same weight as yesterday unfortunately so nothing to say there. I am feeling depressed today for some reason. I talked to a few friends and that didnt make me feel better. So I forgot to say I went to the doctor today as I am in the care of my doctor during my fast. I think this is very important to say. I promised my doctor that I would go off the fast if he was concerned. So I go see him about every week. Anyway, today’s visit was funny because my blood pressure was good but when he took my pulse he kind of looked at me funny and said ”how much are you jogging during your fast?” I had to admit that I have still maintained my running during the fast mostly. I kind of got kicked off here haha. Anyway, this is the continuation of my water fast. I am now on Day 10 of the water fast. Alot has happened. I had blogged on here up to Day 5, and then I got a really nasty infection and ended up on an IV for three days as an outpatient. This was completely unrelated to my fast. So now, on day 10, I have gone through some ups and downs but overall I am feeling good. The hunger went away completely on day 4, and I felt energetic.
