Introduction, Day Before 21 Day Water Fast.

There are a few things i hope to achieve by completing this fast. My main reason is for the health benefits and weight loss is the bonus. I'm hoping to lose at least 19 pounds, which should take me up to day 19. I have quite a bad relationship with food also, and seem to eat out of boredom or to numb certain emotions i don't want to feel. I eat as if i'm out of control, even to the point of feeling sick yet still eating! So i'm hoping to detox myself of all the negative emotions that have been dragging me down and restore my relationship with food again so i can make healthy choices. Also due to eating badly, im sure i have loads of built up toxins. I will be doing enemas also every 3 days of my fast to help rid myself of toxins quicker in the colon.
Another reason for fasting is for my skin. Although my skin is not thattt bad, i do have quite a few little pimples that appear every day or every other day. That then normally go down a few days later, only for more to appear. I know this is due to my bad eating habits and the toxins trying to get out of my system. I also get quite a lot of redness and hyperpigmentation on my face, my skin is really sensitive to heat changes and i flush really easily. So i know water fasting will help with that a great deal and take away all the redness and rid me of my pimples, while smoothing and clearing my skin. Fingers crossed!! Although my skin may get worse before it gets better, as the toxins will be coming out at a fast rate through the skin.
I will be body brushing aswell during my fast to help rid my body of toxins quicker, aswell as some light stretching. I will be doing no exercise, so for the majority of the time im hoping just to relax in bed with water by my side and watch films or do things to distract myself. Water fasting is for healing and rest, so im going to take this time out to rest as much as possible. I must remember i am not going to be fasting forever, the sooner i start the better. I know the end results will make me feel amazing, and it will all be worth it in the end. I can't wait to get started. I am also fasting to re-connect with God and Jesus. So i shall be incorporating some meditation and listening to calming songs, while occassionally reading the bible or praying.

Starting Weight: 122lbs
Goal Weight: 103lbs

I will be posting my blogs/journals every day of my fast, talking about my progress and any effects i’m feeling. I shall begin my water fast on Sunday the 27th March 2010.
