To use an analogy, we could say that to identify with the spirit is to rise above the clouds. Those who remain below the clouds are at their mercy; they cannot see the sun unless the clouds obligingly move out of the way, and in the meantime they are subject to darkness, cold, fog and rain. And as they do not realize that this situation is of their own making, they complain that the sun is hiding from them, that God has forsaken them.

It is simply not true. They have this impression because they have remained below the cloud level. If they knew how to raise their consciousness above the clouds and keep it there, they would immediately be inundated with light. The sun is always shining above the blanket of clouds.

The 25th of March, 2025 - Reconciling our individual life with collective life -

There are so many differences between the shape, material and sound of the violin, cello, piano, oboe, flute, harp, trumpet, cymbals and bass drum!

Note: [*] "part of a whole" is a realization of this writer since the Summer of 1970 - however - "how to reconcile the demands of our individual life with those of collective life" has been a long journey for him ever since - now fifty-five years. Spring - each year everything renews itself -

Humans stay exactly as they are, closed and out of tune with this process of renewal. Some will say, ‘But we are past all that—spring is for the young.’ That sort of thinking cuts them off from the source of life.

Everyone must be in step with this renewal, there must be no distinction here between young and old. Has an old tree ever been heard to say, ‘You know, we are far too old to produce flowers and green leaves, we leave all that to the young saplings.’? No, in spring they too cover themselves with foliage and blossoms. So, even old grandmothers and grandfathers must join in the dance, skipping and hopping and twirling—at least symbolically—and everything will go better.* -

It is only when they begin to know themselves as they are on a higher plane that they become capable of living in true splendor. If the initiates of old laid so much emphasis on the necessity for humans to know themselves, it was because this knowledge is the key that opens up great possibilities for making progress.

‘Know Thyself ’ and achieving success. As long as we are ignorant of the needs of our higher self we continue to give everything to our physical body, which becomes glutted and overfed, whereas our soul and spirit suffocate and die of hunger and thirst. But how can you expect people who don’t even believe in the existence of their other, subtler bodies to do anything about nourishing or strengthening them?

It is amazing to see the situation so many people are in, even those who are highly cultivated: they take great pride in their university degrees and all their culture and erudition, and yet they are constantly in a state of inner torment and anxiety. Isn’t this proof enough that something has gone very wrong with their lives? When someone is as ignorant as that they would do better not to be so pleased with themselves.

‘Know yourself!’ All science and all wisdom lie in knowing ourselves, in finding ourselves, in the fusion of our lower self with our higher self. The symbol of the initiate who has succeeded in this is the serpent with its tail in its mouth. In the ordinary way a serpent forms a straight or wavy line, and a line is finite, limited. But the serpent with its tail in its mouth forms a circle, and a circle represents the infinite, the limitless, the eternal.(ii) Those who succeed in becoming a circle enter a world without limitations where ‘above’ and ‘below’ are no longer separate, because all the powers and all the riches and virtues of the true, higher self have been infused into the lower self.

Re: "Consciousness" - the above quote appears to indicate that we may have a choice as to which of the "different levels of consciousness" we can possibly attune to at any given moment. This writer accepts the choice and is devoted to choosing the highest level that he possibly can at any given moment. The highest being that of the all divine, whole, unity and oneness within the truth of Self!

The Prosveta-usa community offers "Thought for the day" meditations that are all quotes of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov who said: "Through my Teaching, I wish to give you essential notions about human beings: how they are structured, their relationship to nature, and the exchanges they must make with the universe if they are to drink at the springs of divine life… ". I've been enjoying these "Thoughts" every day over the past couple years.

I find the Thought for today quite exceptional! It begins with: "Those who want to be master of their destiny must not attach so much importance to what comes to them from the outside: difficulties or opportunities, gains or losses. ..."[1] This matches my own inner knowingness through which I immediately recognize the truth of this teaching! However I did not have the thought articulated in words as well as it is presented by Omraam. One of the great gifts of receiving these "Thoughts" is the way that Omraam presents them.

Once again I find the timing of the "Thought" to be most serendipitous. I had earlier viewed a couple videos of an interview with a Dutch "business man"[5] (also referred to as an "economic hit man" who in his closing statements said the elite's strategy is "divide and conquer". Therefore we need to come together and unite ourselves. Until we do I understand how you can find yourself in the most "dire" of "states". Until we come together and unite we are like sheep (or if you prefer "minors"). In any case we have yet to reach full maturity to where we exercise full dominion over "all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”[4]

My mother has out-lived my father. Up until the reading of the above message of Omraam I had a mistaken belief that my mother was too passive in regards to the severity of my father's parenting style and its impact on me during the entirety of my childhood and young adult years hail till living at home. Now I accept that apparent benefit of her "passive attitude" (LOL) that my mother has with living now. Actually now that I think of it I too had some extent of a passive attitude and maybe that has contributed to my general state of health that I enjoy now whereas my father was suffering a number of health conditions at my age.
