The Beginning
What should I write? I miss my friend. We had a fight. I haven't seen her in forever and ever. Oh no, and I really loved her too! Now I'm all sad and stuff. I was a dork and kept calling her until she wouldn't return my calls. I'm too needy, I think, don't you?
The Middle
I stopped talking to all of my other friends after I stopped talking to her. She was the best friend I've ever had. I don't want other friends. I don't want replacements, I want her back. I guess I'd be happy if I started hanging out with other people, but I think that I'd rather be her friend again than be happy. I guess that's not a helpful attitude.

This is a reply to # 1,159,022If you want to rekindle the friendship, then it's up to you to make the first move. Get in touch with her. Tell her you're sorry and offer to make amends. Ask her what you could do to improve the relationship. Two things though: 1) I know I make it sound easy to reach out but I know it isn't. It involves swallowing your pride. and 2) Are you prepared for the possibility that she won't be interested in reconciling? If things don't work out, at least by getting in touch with her and discussing things (if she is willing) then you will get some closure. So many times friends will just abruptly stop calling and when I try to get a response, then never get one; it leaves me wondering what happened. A simple "I don't want to be friends anymore because..." would go a long way. Who knows? After you make contact, you may decide that the friendship has run its course. Just keep an open mind.
Believe me, as a shy, introverted person, I know what it's like to have a friend drift away. An extroverted person likely has many friends thus if a friendship dissolves, it doesn't hit them as hard.

This is a reply to # 1,174,758Maybe I should not be replying to your post because I am "the friend who doesn't want to be friends". I hope this doesn't depress you...
Sometimes friends put up with someone for a long time, but never really enjoys their company - "Just being friendly". It is a case of not wanting to offend, and so on.
If it happens that the jilted friend [you, for example] does things or says things that the other friend doesn't like, it just gets to the point where they don't want to see you anymore, and they will take one incident to be the time when they make the break.
Sorry, that is confusing and probably insulting, but I hope you understand what I mean. It is like "I don't want to be here and I am looking for a way out".
Actually, there are two people in my life that I would prefer not to see at all anymore... but I have not "made the break", I really don't want to hurt them.
If this happens to apply to your situation, please try to believe that there are many people out there who you will be more compatible with as friends as compared to someone who is "looking for a way out".
Be yourself, minus the Body Odor [lol], and keep most of your negative thoughts out of the conversation until they ask, and you will make new friends [to whom you can tell your negative stuff to!].
