This is a term that my grandmother used to say and if she thought it was true 40 yrs ago...she ain't seen nothin"!!! Here's my rant for today and it's a political one (although I have yet to read/see the news so I'll probably have many...but spare you all from posting them here!
I don't know which upsets me more...the Bush administration for pulling this $hit...the apathetic citizens that aren't marching in the streets about it...or the people who don't even know this is going on! Bush is thumbing his nose at the Supreme Court, there are no longer checks and balances in our government (and they were put there for GOOD reason!), and our founding 'Fathers' would be chasing this administration out of Washington with muskets in tow! Don't people recognize the making of a dictatorship when their staring it right in the face?!! Anyone seen our Constitution and Bill of Rights lately?...I think Washington must have lost them!!!
Congress trying to send spying scandals to secret court

Looks like the Bush Administration and its gang are up to some new tricks in their bid to sweep the warrantless spying scandal under the rug of Orwellian "national security." There's a bill coming from the Senate Judiciary committee, headed up by Arlen Specter, that would transfer all of these spying cases to the secret FISA court, and it's being hailed as this great big concession by the administration -- which is, of course, complete BS. From the EFF:
Although the bill creates a process for the executive branch to seek court review of its secret surveillance programs, it doesn't actually require the government to do so. The bill would, however, require that any lawsuit challenging the legality of any classified surveillance program -- including EFF's class-action suit against AT&T -- be transferred, at the government's request, to the FISA Court of Review, a secret court with no procedures for hearing argument from anyone but the government. The bill would further allow the government to prevent the court from disclosing any information about the government's surveillance programs to opposing counsel, regardless of the court's strict security procedures.
There's an action page over at the EFF where you can send messages to members of the Judiciary Committee and other relevant committees.
Via Mojo Blog, a quote that summarizes what's about to happen with this bill:
"Barely two weeks after Hamdan [Supreme Court decision declaring military commissions set up by the Bush administration to try Guantanamo detainees were illegal], which appeared to be the most important separation of powers decision in our generation," writes Jack Balkin, the Yale Law School lawyer who specializes in constitutional law and director of Information Society Project, "the Executive is about to get back everything it lost in that decision, and more."

Dutch will allow paedophile group
A Dutch court has turned down a request to ban a political party with a paedophile agenda.
Judge HFM Hofhuis ruled that the Brotherly Love, Freedom and Diversity Party (PNVD) had the same right to exist as any other political party.
The PNVD was formed by three paedophiles in May, prompting outrage in Dutch society.
It seeks to lower the age of sexual consent from 16 to 12 and legalise child pornography and sex with animals.
"Freedom of expression...including the freedom to set up a political party can be seen as the basis for a democratic society," Judge Hofhuis said in the ruling, according to the Associated Press news agency.
"It is the right of the voter to judge the appeal of political parties," he said.
The ruling also noted that the party had not committed a crime.
PNVD's opponents had sought the ban, arguing that children had the right not to be confronted with the party's platform.
Taboos
The PNVD - which has only three known members - says its aim is to break taboos and fight intolerance.
It says it wants paedophilia to be freely discussed, arguing that a ban just makes children curious.
They claim the subject has been a taboo since the 1996 Marc Dutroux child abuse scandal in Belgium.
They also want to break the "negative" stigma surrounding paedophilia by getting into parliament.
But the PNVD says it is not just a one-issue party.
It also wants children from the age of 12 to be able to vote. It promotes the legalisation of hard and soft drugs and free train travel for all.
In order to take part in elections set for 22 November, the PNVD needs to submit a list of candidates and signatures of at least 30 supporters.

my mom said years ago before everyone was allowed to come out of the closet the cross dressers, sodomites, sadists, masochists, et all, were all PRETENDING to be straight and many of them married UNSUSPECTING wives and husbands to create a FALSE FRONT. And this, keeping people in the closet behavior destroyed the lives of the people they married for a false front and others. So my mom said IT IS BETTER they all come out of the closet so the rest of us can see exactly what we are dealing with upfront.
My mom told me this while we were having dinner in a restaurant where gays were, and 2 men, one wearing a SLAVE sign on his t-shirt and wearing a dog collar was eating with a man who had the words MASTER on his t-shirt and a bullwhip and leash in his back pocket. These two men were out of the closet and anyone who looked at them saw what they were, an out of the closet homosexual Slave and Master couple.
Now if your banker was a bullwhip leash carrying person who wore the words MASTER on his shirt you may elect not to bank with him, so if he is out of the closet what you see is what you get and there is no false fronts, fake fronts or pretending to be something other then what the person is. some people would want to be operated on by a cross dressing surgeon, others may elect a non cross dressing surgeon. some people may want to hire a card carrying wiccian witch religionist to be a babysitter, others may want to hire mary poppins. So if we let people come out of the closet then there will be no surprises as what you see, will be, what you get. Comming out the closet avoids the need for surreptictious, deceptive false fronts. If a guy is a card carrying pedophille isn't it better everyone knows it so no one accidently hires him as a babysitter? And if a person is an open beastiality person, you want to know, so no one hires him accidently to pet sit or work at the zoo or on a farm with animals.
As hard as it is to see, it is better these people come out the closet and openly be what they are. Better to be upfront then to deceive and try to fool others. let the jack in the boxes out of the closets. prohibition did not work, it just drove alcohol selling underground.
If people come out of the closets at least it will be out in the open. Then people will know who is who.

This is a reply to # 118,021I think we tend to focus and point fingers on each other far to often ,strereotyping and profiling each other, when in fact it is a very sick culture we live in!
Rats in a maze, when a population becomes over crowded all kinds of neurosis appear, everything from all types of aggressive behaviors including sexual behaviors to
self mutalation and narcissisum !
We live in a bizzaro world where everything is becoming the opposite of what it should be! Becoming part of a special interest group just helps devide and corrupt society even more! There is an increase in aggressive behavior in all classification of peoples in the modern world from gender to race! This falls right into the hands of the powers that be. Like a wise lady once said " we live in a two party system, the rich and the poor!
Violence is caused by two things , greed and poverty and these become prominent whenever resources become scarce and over population in centralized environments become the trend!
Avoid the issues promoted by these extremes of the right or the left, if you,ll notice a foundation of some sorts, with many monies usually are the main financiers and promoters of these extremes!
I mean look at bisexuallity , tell me this isnt a self made choice and it is becoming rampant in the sorority houses in our universities, so there is much devient behavior to go around, so instead lets focus on becoming united instead of devided!

I agree with everything you said with one exception:

While I acknowledge that some bisexuality being displayed is occuring because it is *trendy*...I personally believe that we are all on a sexual continuum and that the exclusive distintions between heterosexual and homosexual are erroneous. And I also wouldn't consider it deviant. But that's MHO and quite obviously many people would disagree with me as evidenced by the votes, and that's fine by me.

This is a reply to # 118,031I agree, it is your choice and unfortunately as I said before everything is becoming the opposite of what it should be! As you may know by much of my postings that I am not a christian but I place a very high value on the standard family unit and this trend toward unisex and androgenous values is part of what I feel is part of the upcoming collapse of society! I also feel this is a push from those in power to control the people!
Destroy any strong culture by destroying the family unit and destroying roles designed by nature quickens this collapse!
I feel its unfortunate you feel this way and it is one of my biggest hopes that you are absolutely wrong!
However my friend I am glad that we can be open with our thoughts and concerns and I value our dialogue!

They are big supporters of nafta and the new world order, including codex ailimentarious and the nazi run pharmaceutical industry!
However I would'nt put two cents in the kitty for oprah or dean, their ties to the corporate world are just as binding!
