I was reading about sesame oil the other day on a site which I believe is called

-- and I think sesame is supposed to be helpful for eczema/psoriasis. I use it for oil pulling, and I make a combination of it and Iodine for facial cleaning/moisturizing (it also provides a mild sun-protective effect).

I am not sure if your little one would take a couple of teaspoons a day, but I know I have read that EFAs can help skin conditions, too.

I know exactly how you feel, my son has had eczema for about a year. It has not been as bad as some other children I've seen, but it made him and us miserable. All the scratching and itching, we feel so bad for him when it was bad. Fortunately, I found a cleansing gel and lotion made by Arbonne that almost completely cleared it up in about a week. When we returned to dermatologist and I told him about the gel and lotion he rolled his eyes at us, very insulting to be treated like that. But anyway, I didn't care because it worked. Since then a friend of mine at work and me, a doctor at the hospital, have been spreading the word. I am in the process of keeping a journal on a blog I have set up, and if you want to read it look below my name where I willl put the link. There are pictures of my little boy when he was pretty bad and one after. Leave me a comment and I can send you the info and anything you need about this gel. It has worked for other mothers here at the hospital. It may not perform as quickly for everyone, but I believe it will help.
