I have heard a lot about the beneficial effects of drinking ones own urine.
I have been doing so for about 3 months. Sometimes I drink all I pass in the day and at other times only a little (but always only from midstream)
I have asked one of the doctors at my Health Centrc about it and he said "don't do it - urine is a wste product" whilst another at the Practice said she had heard about it and wants me to take something from the internet which gives an objective view on it.
Somedays my urine tastes very bitetr, others it taste salty and one many occassions it tastes almost as pure as water.
Am I harming myself or even better is it good for me and if so why.

This is a reply to # 123,648Hi I have just started out on UT a couple of weeks ago and have noticed some slight improvements. I have only been going for a few weeks and only at about 2 ounces aday. I am really interested to hear about the effects it has had on you. It sounds like you have been drinking quite an amount have you noticed any difference? What are you taking it for, just general improvement or is there a health issue you are working on?
I am thinking that you must have read a bit about this before you started to doing it. Most people who have not researched the subject would automatically think of urine as a waste product and doctors do not know everything about health if they did we would all be well. Most doctors are not going to believe anything that they were not taught at med school. If your doctors looking for clinically tested and medically proven stuff you should direct her to Martha Christy's book Your Own Perfect Medicine. There is a lot of medical evidence in there. It is funny isn't it that many people and myself included for most of my life could take subscribe drugs, given to us on the trust of doctors, that have all kinds of side effects and think nothing of it.
I don't know yet how effective UT is going to be for me but I have definitely tried a number of very expensive things before this with no results and I have definitely had some improvement with UT.
A tip for you, I have noticed that if I drink a lot of water before I go to bed and if I eat say some water Melon, then the taste is not so bad.

This is a reply to # 123,650Thanks mooney, yes I have drunk quite a lot but am cautious too.
If the initial taste is very bitter I avoid it because I read that the more bitter it is then the less good it can do you. I never drink it when it is cloudy. But I too have noticed that when I do drink a lot during the day that it becomes more and more clear -- almost to the point of looking like pure water -- also notice that when it is like that the taste is very very nice (almost addictive and purer than some water I have drunk!!)
I am not drinking it for any other reason than when I catch the commoncold it lingers for weeks or months. Since drinking urine I have caught the odd cold but they have been gone within a couple or three days. This may be coincidental but maybe not.
Let me know how you go on. At least I will not feel alone in what many wouldcalla perversion.
Are you doing it for a specific reason.

This is a reply to # 123,651I've been on UT for just 7 days now, after doing a lot of research and reading a couple of the more popular books (e.g. Christy and Armstrong). Here is what I have discovered so far: 1 - I was totally prepared for my first taste of it, expecting it to be putrid, rancid, nasty and repugnant. However, I'm pretty brave and I thought I would soldier through because of the possible health benefits. Now, imagine how shocked and totally surprised I was to find out, even on my first try, that I thought it actually tasted really good. I guzzled down the 4 ounces and was a little disappointed there was not more. But, I thought, "something is not right here. Why is it tasting so good, when it is supposed to be disgusting?" I then started doing a bunch more research and also tried to reach out to others to see if anyone, or someone had the same reaction. Trust me, I was not prepared to actually like the taste, so I agree with you when you say it can be a little addictive. I also thought, "Do I now have some kind of weird, perverted addiction?" Again, after a lot of research, I have come to the conclusion that my body must be okay with consuming urine....sometimes maybe even needing it to fix some sort of imbalance. Otherwise, if it really was gross and undrinkable, then I would think it would taste that way to me. I'm not saying everything that tastes good is good for you, but in the case of urine, and knowing all the good elements, vitamins, urea (helps the kidneys work better), and urokinase (blood clots) in urine, then maybe, just maybe everyone should be drinking it. I have discovered I am not the only one who actually enjoys the taste of their own urine. My issue now is if I should drink all I pass every day or just limit it to 12 ounces or so in the morning. The jury is still out on that. Do you have any thoughts about amount?

They say pears will make the urine taste very pleasant.
When first started I'd eaten asparagus the night before, strong odor and taste, not horrible just strong!
Don't forget to do the old urine body massage. Many of components of urine can only be absorbed through the skin, not the digestive tract, stems cells, hormones, enzymes and thousands of other micronutrient/ micro healing power, which we don't really fully understand how it works, but it does seem to work remarkably well.

This is a reply to # 123,650PS Mooney, I forgot to ask if you are male or femail. If you are male one bit of advise is to make sure you do not dangle you penis into the fluid while you are capturing it (even if that does feel nice and warm) because it can pass bacteria into the urine. I have gone into a bit of detail in some of my other posts here as to the health issues I am dealing with and having endometriosis is a clear indicator that I won't have the dangling penis problem...but thanks for the tip anyway.

This is a reply to # 123,660Hi Silver fox, I don't know why but I get a sense that you are angry, you think what I am doing is senseless, fact-less. In reality I do not know if there will be any long term benefits, I haven't being doing it for long enough, I only know that I have had some short term benefits, you can read about them in my earlier posts.
What do you mean by fact...do you mean truth...and would that be your truth or my truth? Yes there is possible our truth and universal truth...and debates about right and wrong and science, patriarchal and the need to debate and the need to be right and fact and ...ego, none of which I am concerned or interested in. I am interested in healing myself and I will be open minded and try what ever makes sense to me in order to achieve that and I can see that its a bit far out there and not everyone is going to understand that and that people get angry, about far out stuff and stuff they don't understand.
What I researched and what I read made sense to me enough sense for me to want to try it and I really don't think that it will do me any were near as much damage as some of the pharmaceutical drugs I have taken in the past!
Thanks for caring enough to point out that I maybe doing something that would be harmful to myself...Best thoughts ...Moonie

Just trying to understand the thought process..If your interested in your health, then what else are you doing to improve your health?
What do I do? Eat 75% raw fruit and veggies..Drink fresh raw fruits and veggies..Detox with herbs..Drink wheat grass juice..Exercise and use a infar-sauna..Health problems, none..Don't get sick, feel great every day..Sleep well..I am 63 years old and look 40 but feel 20..
Its taken me a long time to reach this level of health and I keep trying to learn more..Sorry if I upset you, that's was not what I was trying to do..

I agree I think a lot of it is about detoxing and putting in good nutrients. I have tried tha Gerson Therapy and though I am not doing it at the moment I do try to juice and I still do the odd coffee enema, although like I said in an earlier post I think my down fall is that I like a glass of the red stuff. That's wine I thought I should make that clear because you never know what someone who drinks their own piss might also drink...I am on my way to the land of dreams so I will get back to you on it...I think it was the words fact and senseless, hooked into something I quess.

I dont understand, if you have researched UT that you can come to these conclusions ! Unless you have not really researched but came to a conclusion by reading one or two negative articals on UT and of course there or many to be found by those who find any alternative health mode quackery! UT has been practiced for millenia and many wise people and cultures have utilized it as their main source of healing! Have you read the reccomended post in the above title head? There is much that is postive about UT on the net, just do a search! I also dont know why you would think urine acid when your input is so alkiline as UT mimics what you eat! Also just like ascorbic acid turns alkiline as do lemons as they are digested so does uric acid, which is just part of urine so it can hardly be considered acid in that sense! Do some research this method has helped me tremendously with adranal fatigue candida and other minor effects like softer and less wrinkled skin! Also has improved my energy levels and keeps me unconstipated !

This is a reply to # 123,674Well Fox for one thing Ive used herbs with much less affect then UT and it much much cheaper! Ut gets very little support from anyone in the business of selling things! I use Ut in conjuction with herbs and viamins and save all the way around with UT boosting the affects of both! Beside when Codex goes into affect UT will be a great option!

This is a reply to # 123,648there has never been a negative result in drinking ones own urine reported. there have been many studies on it and it has been proven effective. It is in all that you put into your body which makes the urine what it is. I try hard to eat a great diet. acidic urine is not good for you so you must be careful of your diet. drinking water a lot helps, and add 2 oz of apple cider vinegar to it a couple of times a day to make the body more alkaline and kill yeast. make sure your vinegar is from a health food store and says it is from the mother and organic. find out which foods are alkaline and eat mostly these. do not eat an over abundance of meat.
