So, here I was all bummed out because Luella is STILL in the damned hospital and they said the earliest they would release her is Sunday, and I was thinking that I may have to fly out there, puny back and all, and rescue her . . . and I got a call from my son:
I'm gonna be a grandpa! WHOO HOO!
Yep, I gotta grandson on the way in a few months! Can't wait until he is past the "larval stage" and can walk and talk, potty free, and able to roll or kick a ball back and forth. And fish, and camp . . . . I may not be the best diaper holder and pablum feeder, but lemm tell ya, I will make a great grandpa!
Now, I just have to get my Luella back home, finish healing my back and stay in good shape . . .

Well, lets hope the tests are wrong and it is really a little chick in the wings...Can't have too many DQ's running around here, because as we all know..... There is only one REAL Dq! Congrats man...And get prepared to change some of those diapers hehe.... -

One thing to think about.....Give some thought NOW to what you want to be called. As for me, I am Nana to my 5 grandchildren. I spoil them and then send them home......nothing like it.....

This is a reply to # 1,454,162Yes, something loud is good. Also toys with a lot of parts to put together or Lincoln Logs or lots of blocks.....a big dollhouse that has to be put together.
Since I have several grandchildren, what I have enjoyed the most is watching their little personalities develop. Each one is so different and I have the joy of just watching them grow......
We will need to give you a cyber shower.....

I was beginning to wonder - my son turns 30 in September. Not having any grandkids to entertain surely makes me miss all the fun times we had. Too bad you can't just freeze them at about age 8 for a few years.
One thing for sure, time spent with your children is so very precious. No matter how much time you spend together, how many things you are involved in with them - years later you still look back with fond memories but also with tears of longing to have done even more.

I still have so much fun with my kids. Fortunately, the terrible teenage thing did not happen. They have their moments, but they are generally very delightful people! But ... I miss the days when they were little, and I was home with them, and we spent all of our days together!
